A Federal Government Department with over 5,000 employees tasked TeraMach with the development of a comprehensive server consolidation and platform standardization strategy. After extensive interviews and server infrastructure analysis, TeraMach performed a comprehensive gap analysis and delivered a set of prioritized server consolidation recommendations. The data gathering phase uncovered over 700 servers running multiple operating environments and versions across the department. An overall server architecture design and consolidation topology was also developed along with the overall server consolidation and platform standardization strategy.
The resulting strategy allowed the client to establish a formal methodology and multi-year road map for managing and operating the hundreds of servers deployed within the organization more effectively.
