Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
The increasing use of information technology by organizations of all sizes makes a high level of availability and the avoidance of users service interruptions very important. Much can and has been done to increase system availability and to provide backup, but disasters can and will occur. The purpose of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is to think through and document in advance exactly what the IT function and their users will do if such a disaster occurs.
